I’m a Manchester-based UX design consultant and leader. One of my proudest career moments is being named a top 10 global UX designer by Adobe(!).
Likes: books, dogs, retro R&B, hiking, running, solo cinema trips, trying new things, solving problems, and working with people who care.
Dislikes: coffee, the smell of petrol, and how loud the TV gets during ad breaks.
I’ve visited Belgium, the Channel Islands, Czechia, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, USA, Vatican City, and Wales.
My personality types are INFJ (Advocate), Supporter, and Red.
How I help
What gets me out of bed in the morning is creatively solving problems, humanising technology so it works for people without them having to think about it.
I love getting people excited about human-centred design. I’m all about collaboration, co-design, and creating something to be proud of.
As a Lead UX Consultant, I work with clients alongside managing senior designers. I also volunteer on Hippo’s Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (DI&B) Forum and established our Accessibility Champions working group.

How I’ve grown
Continuous learning is important to me, both through day-to-day experience and formal training and events.
My accomplishments include a UX Design certificate from University of the Arts London, completion of Google’s Foundations of User Experience (UX) Design course, and Agile Coach certification.
Most recently I obtained W3C’s WAI0.1x: Introduction to Web Accessibility certificate.

What I’ve done
Over the last decade I’ve been a designer in a variety of industries, including government, non-profits, and the private sector.
Before pivoting into user experience design, I worked in:
- Retail and hospitality (developing customer service skills)
- Animal care (learning patience, attention to detail, and how to remain calm under pressure)
- Local government (becoming more resilient and adept at prioritisation)
All my experience is invaluable, making me the designer and leader I am today. And that Food Hygiene Level 3 course has come in handy at home.
My digital products have been used by literally millions of people — sometimes millions a day. I find that wildly exciting and I love that my work has a positive impact on people’s lives.
